The list of ARI Literary Agency is extending towards more genre fiction titles now. We are keen in selling more translation rights on fantasy titles by Armenian authors, and prove that the fantasy shouldn’t neccessarily come from Anglo-Saxon literature. 

We are happy to announce that we have signed a cooperation agreement with the Zangak Publishing House on representation of the novel Gisane՛. The Eternal Empire by Hayk Hovyan. 

Hayk Hovyan is a fiction writer and animator. He studied geography at Yerevan State University and holds a master’s degree. Hovyan is a director of photography and a filmmaker specializing in animation for children and adolescents. He is the author of the fantasy book series Chronicles of Citadel. The first book of the series The Ravenstone, The Beginning was published in 2021. The second book of the series came out in 2024 and is entitled Gisane՛. The Eternal Empire. His writings are deeply influenced by his professional experience in the field of visual storytelling and represent many elements of Armenian mythology, legends and ancient stories. Hovyan also has a series of short stories entitled Yerevan Noir, published in Granish and Inqnagir online literary magazines.
