ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF 2022

We would like to present to you the updates on our rights sales, new publications and other important events that took place in 2022. We are proud of all our accomplishments, big or small, as the success is a process and not an instant result.  

INTERNATIONAL PUBLICATIONS AND RIGHTS SOLD

Serbian translation of Susanna Harutyunyan’s ravens Before Noah and Jean Chat Tekgyozyan’s Fleeting City were published by Cigoja publishing house. Mlecznego Brata Foundation published Aram Pachyan’s short story Ocean in Polish and distributed it to film-maker, publishers and other cultural organizations. 

The Arabic, German and French rights of Ravens before Noah by Susanna Harutyunyan were sold. German, Bulgarian and Greek rights of P/F by Aram Pachyan were sold. We are looking for the publications of these books in  2023-2024.

PUBLICATIONS ABOUT US AND OUR AUTHORS

New York based writer, literary critic, film director and producer Christopher Atamian’s article  Generation Independence: Armenia’s Literary Superheroes was featured in Los Angeles Review of Books Magazine. It is covering not only the work of ARI Literary Agency but also a number of its writers, such as Aram Pachyan, Anna Davtyan, Armen of Armenia and Jean-Chat Tekgyozyan.

In the Special Feature of Asymptote October 2022 edition a number of Armenian authors were featured. Among them are writers of the ARI Literary Agency Aram Pachyan, Anna Davtyan and Sargis Hovsepyan.

NEW PUBLICATIONS BY OUR AUHTORS

Narek Topuzyan’s new short story collection When the Dream Disappeared has been published by Granish Publishing house.

Sargis Hovsepyan’s novel Serenity has been published by Metro Publishing house.

NEW WRITERS IN OUR LIST

In 2022 we have signed contracts to represent the works by Ani Asatryan, Arman Gizyan and Ruben Filyan. 

BOOK FAIRS

ARI Literary and Talent Agency was happy to be back at the London, Frankfurt Book Fairs after a two-year break influenced by COVID restrictions and Sharjah Publishers Conference.

NEWS ABOUT OUR AUTHORS

On the occasion of becoming a winner of European literary prize 2021 Aram Pachyan was invited to take part at the Berlin Literary Festival. This was the first time an Armenian writer was invited to such a large-scale festival.

At the end of the year Aram Pachyan was also awarded with Granish literary magazine’s prize for the best essay.

Anna Davtyan became Creative Armenia’s 2022 East-West Resident and was at Brussels for a one-month creative residency program at the Villa Empain. Anna has been working on her new novel during her residency program which will come out in 2023-2024.

Anna Davtyan was also awarded with Yerevan Book Fest prize for best drama work.
