The editor of Artur Mirzoyan  wrote about the novel: Zora is a novel about war, set in the years after the 2020 Nagorni Karabakh (Arsakh) war. It is about a woman’s war with its own agenda. It is also a “detective” novel, where the killer is known from the beginning. Zora is a strange love story, the most terrible love story I have encountered in Armenian literature. Which is not read as a love story. The novel is a lament, Adam’s lament, but also the lament of the past and future, Artsakh, torn apart by war, and the lament of the world in anticipation of global warming and nuclear winter. Death, Zora teaches us, is God’s promise. The Death Star at the pinnacle of our lives.
