THE MUSICIAN MONSTER BY LILIT ALTUNYAN

Picture book/ Zangak Publishing house, 2020

In a peaceful forest lives a gentle monster known to
everyone as The Musician. Every evening, he fills the woods with the
soft, magical sounds of his flute, enchanting all who listen. Yet deep inside,
the monster dreams of performing in grand concert halls before great audiences.

One day, a gust of wind brings him a poster about a concert
in a nearby city. Excited, he sets off at once — but when he reaches the city,
people are frightened by his big, strange shape and quickly hide away. Heartbroken,
he sits by a dry fountain and begins to play, pouring all his sadness into his
music.

His melodies are so pure and moving that people emerge from
hiding, the musicians join him, and even the lifeless fountain springs back to
life. In that moment, the monster learns the true meaning of being a musician —
it isn’t about grand stages but about touching hearts wherever there are ears
to listen.
