THE FRENCH PUBLICATION OF JEAN-CHAT TEKGYOZYAN'S NOVEL THE THIRD SEX
We are happy to announce that Hovhannes (Jean-Chat) Tekgyozyan’s novel The Third Sex originally published in Armenian, in 2019, is already available in French. The translator is Anahit Avetissian.
The novel was published by Belleville éditions, which has also published the Tekgyozyan’s another novel The Fleeting City.
The central protagonists of the novel are four women- actresses, and the novel speaks with four different voices. The actresses start to lose their identity while playing the roles of their stage heroes.
The novel tells the reader about the difficulties of being an actress which makes them victims of that profession. Irrespective of their social status, reputation and their place in society all the four actresses are doomed to be unhappy and deprived of love.
