We are happy that Sam Khachatryan has recently joined ARI writers’ list.

He is an author, translator and sound artist based in Armavir, Armenia. Sam holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the American University of Armenia. His thesis was focused on manifestations of populism and its argued influence on democratic governance in Armenia. His debut novel 26 Baghramian Avenue was published in 2018. His recent book, Yerevan Blues was shortlisted for the best prose work during the 6th Yerevan International Book Fest in 2023. His experimental records are closely interlinked to his texts, as both introduce personal narratives on memory, drama, theater, and music. His concept record, Music for Yerevan Blues is set to be played in public in parallel with the publication of the novel.
