THE PRESENTATION OF GEORGIAN EDITION OF P/F BY ARAM PACHYAN

On September 20, 2025, within the framework of the Tbilisi International Festival of Literature, the Georgian edition of Aram Pachyan’s novel PF, published by Sulakauri Publishing House, was officially presented to the public. The Georgian translation was supported by EUPL translation grant.

In 2021 Pachyan was awarded with the European Prize for Literature (EUPL) for the novel P/F. He is one of the most translated authors in Armenia available in over 10 languages. P/F has been translated and published in German, Greek, Bulgarian, Persian and more languages are yet to be published.

The event was moderated by acclaimed Georgian writer Iva Pezuashvili, EUPL winner in 2022, and gathered an audience of Georgian writers, poets, critics, and literature lovers, among them writers Tamta Melashvili, Eka Kevanishvili, Davit Gabunia, as well as Natia Mikeladze, acclaimed German translator and ex- head of Goethe Zentrum Yerevan. The translator of the novel into Georgian, Asya Darbinyan, also took part in the presentation, and spoke about the challenges and joys of bringing the novel’s unique rhythm and voice into a new language.

The evening was a celebration not only of a book, but of the bridge that literature builds between Armenia and Georgia, of words that travel, and of the silences they leave in readers’ hearts.

Aram’s visit to Georgia was made possible thanks to the generous support of the H. Hovnanian Family Foundation’s Fellowship grant.
